Thursday Island Primary Campus is a P-7 school of approximately 400 enrolled students. Our staff and students follow the You Can Do It! Education program. Its main purpose is the development of young people's social, emotional and academic capabilities, using the five key foundations:

1. Confidence (Academic, social)

2. Persistence

3. Organisation

4. Getting Along

5. Resilience

With the introduction of the Bound for Success Curriculum agenda staff and students have been working hard to ensure a seamless transition to a new curriculum delivery model. Thursday Island Campus is engaged in the use of front end assessment tasks to ensure student work has the appropriate intellectual rigour.

All staff members are committed to pursuing high educational outcomes for students by setting high uncompromising standards. Our mandate is to provide students with an education that allows them to choose their pathway rather than being limited by lack of achievement.

The school received a new preparatory building as part of the prep rollout. This is a great facility designed to give students a solid foundation for their educational career.

Thursday Island Campus is also host to the Malu Os Special Education Services. Malu Os has the charter to provide special education services to all 17 campuses of Tagai State College as well as Northern Peninsula Area College.
