A mid-year change of leadership for the campus has welcomed the arrival of Mrs Cheryl Cannon who has been Deputy Principal at Yarrabah State School for the remainder of the year.
Yam Island Campus has been implementing the Bound for Success Strategy which has presented formidable challenges for its implementation during the first half of 2007.
With the introduction of the Bound for Success Curriculum agenda staff and students have been working hard to ensure a seamless transition to a new curriculum delivery model.
All staff members are committed to pursuing high educational outcomes for students by setting high standards. Our School Motto “Strive for Merit” creates our school vision that provides high expectations and provides the accountability of personalized learning.
Our tenure is to provide students with an education that allows them to choose their pathway rather than being limited by lack of achievement. |
