Enrolment
|
The enrolment process at Tagai State College is same as most Queensland State schools, except, because of our “Strait Start” strategy we accept and encourage enrolments from the age of 3.5 years for a non-compulsory year of “PrePrep”.
All care givers are expected to visit the campus of their choice and, meet the Head of Campus (or their delegate) prior to the first day of attendance. During this meeting documentation should be shared and the obligations of all stakeholders shared.

Attendance
Target: Every Tagai State College student achieves 95% attendance
Expectations:
- All students are to attend school every day.
- Students are absent from school for valid, unavoidable reasons.
- For extended periods of absence (over 2 days), staff will work with families to make alternative arrangements for the completion of school work
- Students with less than 90% attendance will be considered at educational risk - with Heads of Campus to investigate
100% Attendance:
Each term, Tagai State College will report on the attendance data for all campuses. Heads of Campus will also report to local community on specific site data – including celebrating students who achieve 100% attendance.
