Traditional Name: Warraber

Warraber Island is a 93 acre low lying coral island and is fringed with an extensive system of reefs. The island lies 72km north-east of Thursday Island.

The dialect spoken on Warraber is Kulkalgaw Ya which is a part of the Kala Lagaw Ya traditional language. ​

Warraber Islanders have close kinship ties with Poruma, Iama and Masig Islands.
